Communicating during Covid19

We all know the impact that CoVid-19 is having on local businesses and consumers alike, but what most people don’t realise is that it is absolutely key to maintain the relationship and conversation between business and clients during this limbo period. Eventually the lockdown will be lifted and when things start to return to normal, you want to make sure that your customers are right there by your side. Here’s a few tips on how best to communicate with your customers during the pandemic:

Keep your website updated

Your website is the first place that customers are going to go to get information and updates during CoVid-19 so keeping it fresh with content and answering their questions is key. Setting up an FAQ section is a great way to give your customers the information they want. Think about answering the following questions:

  • Are you still open for business?
  • How have your services changed?
  • What are your opening times?
  • What kind of precautions are you taking to combat the spread of CoVid-19?
  • How is best to contact you?

Another great tip is to regularly update your blog with what’s happening in the business. This is a great way to show that you are still operating and keep that communication going until things resume to normal.

Stay active on social media

Social media is one of your most useful channels for keeping the relationship going with your customers. Let them know that you are still there for them. We look after the online presence for a number of dental practices and some of our clients are leading the way in showing their patients that they care about their dental health by sharing videos on self care at home.

Remember to keep your tone on-brand: It’s important to maintain professionalism each time you post and try to shy away from sharing CoVid-19 facts or articles as it can be hard to validate the evidence behind these.

Live Webinars

Just because we can’t meet with our clients or hold meetings, that doesn’t mean that we can’t still share advice and our expertise. Why not host an educational webinar to offer support to you clients? With the lockdown imposed, people don’t have much on which means they will be more likely to sit in on a webinar or zoom call.
